I know this is a question that many a fangirl across the world are asking themselves right now. Honestly, as much as I try to keep abreast of the latest ongoings of the Korean underground scene, not much noise has been made since 노민우 aka “The Artist Formerly Known as Rose” abandoned Korea’s 1st visual kei band (The Trax) in favor of more creative freedom with his band The Romantist.
Save for a few Hyde and X Japan covers at Rollinghall venue, no deals have been signed and no songs have been recorded. But, mostly due to 민우’s looks and popularity, they’ll have no problem gaining a strong fanbase once they decide to really get things going.
However . . .
I do have a nice treat for the fans who still wonder what happened to their ivory haired pretty boy. Click and enjoy!
The latest addition to the Dope Music family, I introduce Desperado, who refreshingly play a sort of Korean-style Metalcore. Unfortunately I’m terribly backlogged as far as picking up the latest Japanese and Korean underground releases, so I can’t give a full review at this moment. But make sure to check out their MV for their track entitled “The Time Controls the Memories.”
